Step onto the casting floor at AIT-LKR with researchers Katrin Mester and Giulia Scampone. Watch the behind-the-scenes videos and learn how we are reshaping the future of sustainable metal and unlocking a circular economy for aluminium.
We are thrilled to announce that the RecAL project has been awarded the ÖGUT Environmental Prize 2025 (ÖGUT-Umweltpreis) in the category of “Research & Innovation for the Circular Economy.”
The RecAL Project’s third consortium meeting (CM3) took place in Thessaloniki, Greece, from 26th – 28th March 2025, marking a significant milestone in the collaborative effort to advance circularity in aluminium recycling.
The creation of a Digital Product Passport (DPP), underpinned by blockchain technology, is one of the most exciting innovations behind the RecAL Hub.
With approximately 15% of global aluminium demand, Europe is primed to revolutionise material recycling.
